Memento Mori Necklace

This 925 silver necklace is part of my 'memento mori' collection.
This collection situates itself within the tradition of memento mori, an artistic concept which acts as a symbolic reminder of mortality. Through the creation of hand-carved death symbolism, I offer a fresh reinterpretation of memento mori, that serves as a daily reminder to live our finite lives to the fullest.
I have hand carved the pendants initially in wax, which I then cast in 925 silver using the lost wax casting method. I hand crafted the chain and clasp using 925 sterling silver wire.
